Thank you for your project application idea, the project idea clearly hopes to address local community need. This project was taken to West/Central Area Committee for consideration within the funding and criteria for EIP area funding. Following committee and Executive Councillor consideration this project was unfortunately not approved. The key reason for this was that the project was rated lower as need for benches is deemed adequate and the determination of additional benches may need focus on identified need specific to location and as the EIP programme was oversubscribed the proposal was therefore not within the programme budget.

Request is for provision of more benches on Christ's pieces, New Square, and Parker's piece.
Many of the local residents are aged over 60 and would value benches from which to contemplate the splendid green spaces in our area.
