Thank you for your project application idea, the project idea clearly hopes to address local community need. This project was taken to all four Area Committees for consideration within the funding and criteria for EIP funding. Following committee and Executive Councillor consideration this project was unfortunately not approved. The key reason for this was that the project was rated lower although a good project in principle it is not creating direct capital assets and as the EIP programme was oversubscribed the proposal was therefore not within the programme budget.

Wildlife need corridors to enable travel around the city. An environmental map would look at the City’s open and closed spaces to highlight the spaces that are great for wild birds, reptiles, fish, insects, amphibians and mammals but also the spaces that are used for domesticated animals, pets and farm. It could identify the spaces of travel, for these creatures plus showing areas which may need mor corridors created. Should be relatively easy to do from Google maps but the drill down to public and private, and reward private spaces that are havens.
