Dear Jennifer,
Thank you for taking the time to put in the application for the replacement of the zip wire however I am informed we have a replacement zip wire ready to install. The installation will have to wait until after the school holidays as the install would mean shutting down the entire play area to install for health and safety reasons. As we have planned works the EIP funding is not required, therefore we will remove the bid from the process.

The zip wire has long required repair. No piece hanging down. I pointed out the need to workers who were fixing another small piece of the equipment weeks ago but the zip wire was not on their list. The play area is well below the standard of those at Cherry Hinton and Coleridge which are not within walking distance of young children here who make frequent use of the Nightingale playground.
