Parking on yellow lines near crossing on Campkin Road
From "Phase 1: Understanding your neighbourhood and establishing a vision (map)"
Go to the project
There is a crossing on Campkin Road (approx near number 50) where the road narrows to a single lane and priority is given to the side driving toward Kings Hedges Road. In this area there are often a lot of vans parked and cars parked on double yellow lines. This reduces the space cars have to give way to traffic and also reduces visibility. You cannot see oncoming traffic until it is on top of you and there is only a very tight space to pass oncoming traffic.

I've often been abused by drivers coming the other way, as I've not been able to see them until it's too late due to the design of this crossing, and cars/vans parked close to it. Bus drivers seem to think they are exempt from giving way and waiting at the mini roundabout with Hawkins Road when there is an obstruction on their side of the carriageway, and plough over, crossing over the central painted double white lines. When approaching from Kings Hedges Road, traffic should remain in the left lane until there is a clear view of no oncoming traffic. It is often not possible to remain in the correct lane due to very prevalent parking on the double yellow lines - see example captured on Street view. https://goo.gl/maps/MwkK7eR6iKNt4Gwd9
Maybe some proper parking enforcement would help.
