Thank you for your project application idea, the project concept will contribute towards improving local community environment and biodiversity. This project was taken to the North Area Committee 13/11/2023 for consideration within the funding and criteria for EIP area funding. Following North Area Committee consideration and Officer recommendations this area project was then approved by the Executive Councillor for Openspaces and City Services to a value of £3,000. An assigned Project Lead - Council Officer, will contact you as soon as resources allow in early 2024 in regards their resourcing programme for working in partnership to bring the project forward towards implementation.

How: Following site inspection and conversations with residents, and thanks to consultation with officers, either a low-level planting flowerbed at the points where the vehicles drive onto the grass, or a similar idea with biodiversity instead of a flower bed. All-weather seating in the middle?
Why: The grassed area at the front of Rutland Close is constantly being damaged. Residents tell us - and we as councillors have observed - that this happens every year. Cars will park on the grassed area and drive over it. When the ground is wet, this causes huge damage and unsightliness.
Who: Cllrs Patrick Sheil and Iva Divković with support from Cllrs Mike Todd-Jones and (for County) Mike Black and Arbury residents.

Great idea, we've got to stop selfish anti social behaviour, no wonder the area has a bad reputation when it looks like this.
