Thank you for your project application idea, the project idea clearly hopes to address local community need. This project was considered under the funding and criteria for EIP area funding. Following Executive Councillor consideration this project was unfortunately not approved. The key reason for this was that the project was considered to be a more appropriate fit with the criteria for the Cambridgeshire County Council Local Highways Initiative (LHI) funding, more information on LHI can be found at https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/travel-roads-and-parking/roads-and-pathways/improving-the-local-highway/local-highway-improvement-funding
Speed indicator sign on Mill Road
From "Environmental Improvement Programme (EIP) - 2022"
Go to the project

Proposed budget
GBP 4,000
Description
Installing a speed indicator like those on St Barnabas or Cromwell Road would remind road users that this is a 20mph zone. This is habitually ignored. Many seem to think it is a main road with a 40 limit. We would also gain useful statistics.
