Woodhead Drive play area

From "Phase 1: Understanding your neighbourhood and establishing a vision (map)"

I feel like the Woodhead Drive play area is underused and badly maintained. The equipment includes a set of swings, a climbing frame (several rungs on the ladder are broken so it's unusable), a conceptual roundabout that is only usable by older children, a basket swing, a wobbly bench, two tyres that spin (which are usually filled with rainwater and rubbish). Given the size of the play area I think the play equipment could be more densely packed in and also maintenance and new equipment is needed to make this pleasant again. It's a playground we like as the hard surfacing means it's usable even on rainy/snowy days but we're using less and less as it has become less appealing.

I completely agree, for the size of the estate it is pitiful, unimaginative, too small and poorly maintained. Look at places like Bath for much better, more imaginatively designed, ‘freer’ play provision, not constrained by tiny uninspiring pieces of equipment. Would welcome a greater variety of items and use of surfacing, especially sand, all in a much bigger fenced off area

thankyou for fixing the broken rung on the ladder up to the slide. can you replace the broken wobbly tyre thing on a spring that has been removed. the playground would benefit from a low fence to keep dogs out and improve security (young children running near the road)
