Small Green space could have benches

Anna Ghale•3 years ago Benches and sensory or perennial planting or even beds of flowers could be put here. It would make the space feel loved and nurtured and if the local community used the space (maybe even grow veg) then it might discourage antisocial behaviour and drug dealing. Increased green space means cleaner air in the long run. Good for physical and mental health.

Hurrell Rd and Perse way

Anna Ghale•3 years ago Poor pavements- not flat surfaces and elderly, disabled, visually impaired have trip hazard- tree roots are causing pavements to be uneven. If you want to encourage the most vulnerable to walk the pavements need levelling. Also lighting is poor when walking in winter and it feels u safe especially with fast cars on Perse way and drug dealing locally.

Pedestrian Crossing to Arbury Primary school

Anna Ghale•3 years ago There needs to be a zebra or pelican crossing for the children going to Arbury Primary. Whist there is often a lovely Crossing Assistant they are only present for a short time each day. Children need to cross safely and cars drive very fast especially when other main routes like Milton Road are blocked. The Road bumps do little to reduce car speeds.

Perse way footpaths uneven

Anna Ghale•3 years ago my elderly mother and her friend are in danger each time they walk due to uneven footpaths. They are a serious trip hazard. These elderly residents are trying to keep mobile but it’s very unsafe- ends up keeping elderly isolated.

Caron way near one stop

Anna Ghale•3 years ago Difficult to Ross road as so busy for children going to Chesterton. Cars drive too fast, also lots of cars park around the shop and block view for crossing.Also children feel intimidated and unsafe around one stop due to drug dealing and alcohol use- regular group of day drinkers.

Road width for traffic

Anna Ghale•3 years ago I am a bike, car and bus user. There is just no room for the volume of bikes and cars on the road. Gilbert Road is wide enough, but Carlton way and Milton Road with the roadworks are not. Unfortunately I came off my bike due to the pressure from faster cyclists behind me and being overtaken by cyclists too fast and too close. Bikes seem to be weaving in and out at speed. All users need to be far more aware of others and there needs to be marked Road space for bike, pedestrian and car. There must be a solution that will suit everyone.
