Phase 1: Understanding your neighbourhood and establishing a vision (survey)
Open for comments from Friday 4 August to Sunday 24 September.
Phase 1 of the design code project is focussed on understanding the neighbourhood.
As well as our own research we are using an online survey for local people to complete, alongside an in-person event taking place on Wednesday 27 September at Meadows Community Centre.
Please answer the following survey questions to help us understand your neighbourhood, your needs and aspirations on the following topics within Arbury, King’s Hedges and West Chesterton.
Survey focus:
- walking and cycling
- playgrounds and parks
- car parking
- cycle use and storage
- community facilities
- gaps and underused places
- safety
- public transport
- neighbourhood character
Additional disability information we would like you to share in the survey
If you have a disability, please let us know the challenges and issues you may experience in getting around the area safely.
In the ‘Any other comments' section at the end of the survey, please let us know:
- if you have a blue badge (car parking)
- if you have a mobility scooter or wheelchair and how often you use it per week
- what would encourage you to go outdoors more and how you would like the neighbourhood improved
The information you provide will help to positively shape the design code moving forward.

Please also add your comments and ideas to our phase 1 interactive map.
