Future of tourism in Greater Cambridge
Cambridge City Council is working in partnership with South Cambridgeshire District Council and Visit Cambridge partners: Cambridge BID, King's College and Curating Cambridge to develop a new Destination Management Plan (DMP) for Greater Cambridge.
Open for comments from Thursday 23 May to Sunday 21 July 2024.
It is vitally important that this plan is informed by you - residents and businesses in Cambridge city and the South Cambridgeshire area, known as Greater Cambridge.
We want to hear what you love about Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire and how you feel we should promote Greater Cambridge to the world.
Any concerns around tourism and how this is managed in the city will also be taken into consideration.
A DMP is a unique document that creates a strategic vision and joint, multi-stakeholder delivery plan for a destination.
It can help unite organisations, encourage partnerships and act as a shared statement of intent to manage, develop and promote a destination in the future.
The new DMP will provide the strategic roadmap for the sustainable development, delivery and management of tourism in Greater Cambridge. This will ensure that the visitor economy continues to positively contribute to the city and region in the future.

We want your thoughts on how the visitor economy contributes to the health and wellbeing of the city and its residents, as well as the areas you feel should be prioritised in the DMP.
