Statement of Sex Establishment Licensing Policy
Open for comments from Monday 21 September to Sunday 13 December 2026.
The current Sex Establishments Licensing Policy was adopted by the Licensing Committee in January 2022. Within this policy it was determined that the policy would be subject to further review and consultation.
Although there is no legal requirement for the Council to adopt a policy, Government Guidance considers it to be good practice for Licensing Authorities to have a Statement of Licensing Policy for Sex Establishments, stating how they will administer their functions.
We want to know what you think about the draft statement, so are undertaking a 12-week public consultation to let you have your say.
The changes made are all minor adjustments.
Your views will help us decide the final content of the documents.
We will consider all comments, although we cannot respond to them individually.
